I bought a copy of this thinking it sounded like just the thing for my daughter.  It was, and she loved it so much, she got me to order a second copy for her cousin for Christmas :)

I downloaded the .pdf to take a look at it and loved it! I found it amusing that the name of the girl (Amy) is also the name of my little sister, who coincidentally just a had a little girl of her own! After reading it I immediately pre-ordered a copy and had it ready to give to Amy's daughter the day after she was born! (Humerous (though not for Amy) story is that the baby was actually about 2 weeks late, and if she hadn't been the book would have been late for her birth! So even babies were waiting in anticipation for Sandra's work of literary genius!) Also, the art was beautiful and the morals were wonderfully placed.

My son is sometimes like the little girl in this book.  It was nice to step back and remember what the world looks like from *his* perspective.

Sandra's prose is perfectly married to Angela's colorful caricatures. The story is well paced, creatively written, and simply a joy to behold! This story is what every kid's parents should be reading to them before bed. It encourages imagination as well as the kind of guidance that all children need. I plan on donating a copy to my local pre-school and school so that this wonderful story can find its way into more young hearts than just my own children. Thank you Sandra and Angela for giving us one more fairytale to treasure and pass down to another generation!
